Immaculate Conception Church and School 

Replacement of Franklin Street Facility Roofs

On May 8, 2024, our Franklin Street campus received major hail damage to the roofs and gutters of six (6) of our buildings. We worked with the Diocese to file a claim with Catholic Mutual Group (CMG) and obtained three (3) estimates for repairs. After an extensive analysis to determine the extent of damage and cost of repair, CMG approved our total claim in the amount $837,020.59 minus our deductible of $1,000.00. 

On June 27, 2025, we received a letter from our Bishop, Most Reverend J. Mark Spalding, giving us the approval to move forward with Don Kennedy Roofing Co. and the insurance claim with CMG. This project was also presented to and received consent from the College of Consultors, the Diocesan Finance Council, and our Diocesan Attorney. 

September of 2026, the roofs and gutters are complete, and Don Kennedy Roofing has repaired damages that were a direct result of the replacement process. The following is a breakdown of the replacement cost for each roof that was damaged:

Newman House                                         $  12,681.36 

Workshop/Garage                                     $ 5,011.16 

TOTAL REPAIR COST                            $837,020.59 

The only cost to Immaculate Conception Church and School is the deductible of $1,000.00.
