An exciting project is in the beginning stages at Immaculate Conception. Our historic chapel will be undergoing a complete preservation. This endeavor will be accomplished over the next few years with the goal to rededicate the chapel during the parish’s 150th anniversary in 2030.
The chapel was dedicated in 1880. It along with the rectory is on the National Historic Register. The chapel still houses the original altar and stained glass windows. Initial research has begun to determine all facets of the preservation including walls, windows, flooring, electrical, and painting.
The work that will be completed will ensure the chapel is preserved for generations to come. For the past 100+ years this chapel has been home to thousands of Catholics in Clarksville. It has served our parishioners with countless sacraments celebrated in this beautiful space.
This page will provide updates and progress reports. Please pray for the success of this preservation.
