Step Up Stewardship is designed to encourage parishioners to increase their weekly giving, thereby raising the revenue bar to a higher and sustained level. It is focused on offertory only. It is one-time concentrated kick off with monthly reminders for a period of six months. It is based around a chart that shows a staircase of giving ranges by the number of families in each range. The values in each step are tailored to the historic giving patterns of the parishioners. The parishioners are encouraged to increase their weekly giving by one or more steps. A scorecard is kept and updated monthly in the narthex of the church.
Immaculate Conception is a vibrant, diverse, and growing parish. We have 63 different ministries/groups; we celebrate sacraments in 5 languages. Our average Sunday Mass attendance is about 3,000. We have 290 children in English religious education, 220 children in Spanish religious education, 137 children in our Catholic school, 129 children in our preschool, 105 people in OCIA program, 74 people on staff (including teachers and teacher’s aides). To accommodate all those needs we own and maintain 8 main buildings. Also, we are working on chapel preservation to address the “wear and tear” issues and to restore it for generations to come.
In a world that values wise financial investments, consider investing in our Parish Community of Immaculate Conception: our children – who are our future, adults – who are our strength, and seniors – who are the source of wisdom and experience.
